Default AMD vs INTEL

i want to bye a comp .
i m totaly confused which processor should i bye. i want fast computer .can
anybody tell me is what r good n bad points in amd
give mepoints in favour and against AMD
AMD 2800+, 3000+ &above ,intel3Ghz 3.6 HT
give prizing also
also suggest me config.
both in amd & intel
for gaming .i need a fast comp

Oh the famous Intel VS AMD War....

End result is what you want to do. If you want for gaming, then I think AMD is much superior. But if you want to look into multimedia such as Audio and Video, then Intel is better (with HT technology)...

and if u want the lord of all cpu's...that should last for a while...

get AMD X2..4800+ or X2 opteron...

(please guys dont bore me suggesting this cpu is better than the above in this category and etc....)
