Compufer fails to boot. Possible RAM problems

Hi,
I have been facing a booting problem recently. The computer takes 2-3 reboots and only after that it becomes stable. I first got a CMOS checksum fail error. Also the date and time got reseted after every boot. So I replaced the small battery in the mobo. But I kept getting boot problems.

On the first 2 boots the computer hangs up in the BIOS or OS within the first 5 mins. In the next boot I get the error, "DQS training failed. System reverted to slower DRAM speed. Press DEL to continue.". After this the system boots up fine.

When I bought the computer I had to settle with low quality RAM. I guess it has reached its end of life.

My full computer config is:

AMD Phenom 2 550
Biostar TA785G mobo
2x2 GB DDR3 (made by Hyundai Electronics as shown by AMD Overdrive.)
500+1000 GB Seagate HDD
Coolermaster 600w SMPS ( willing to change this. Suggeations welcome)

If I have to change the RAM please suggest a good 4GB kit. Budget is 2.5k.
Budget for PSU is 3k.

EDIT:So I took out the RAM and cleaned the contacts and then interchanged their positions. Computer working fine ever since.

have you tried memtest86???

for DQS training...either disable it or simply load failsafe defaults in the BIOS.

I think this is definitely ram, swap your ram with friends and see if its solve your problem.
