Default strange problem in hdd

i got a seagate 160gb hdd back from rma couple of days ago.
this was the first time i ever lay my hands upon a fresh new hdd. i made 4 partitions in it and installed win 7 on one partition.

everything was fine, os running, i surfed net for a while, when suddenly the system just hang up. i tried ctrl+alt+del but nthing happened. so i restarted the system by main button, but then it displayed 'error loading operating system'.

i thought the os is corrupted so then i tried to install the os again but after 'loading windows file' step, the system is stuck on 'starting windows' where windows logo shows up. tried it 2-3 times but same problem.

help me, is it the hard drive's problem or something else?
surely it is not dvd's problem because i last time it worked fine and os successfully installed.

sorry for the bad english

@bharat_14101991:Reconnect the power and data cables to the hdd. Also change the port on the motherboard to which the HDD is connected.Something is loose.

or else try a different molex connector of the PSU and connect it directly to the HDD - you can also check the HDD using seatools.

^^ you have to download and write the seatools iso file on a CD to make a bootable disc ( ask a friend to so ) - boot your system with this CD and check the HDD and post the result.

Also try installing windows from another disc or USB drive.

@all somehow my system is up and running, but my harddisk is making so much noise. so i guess the harddisk is faulty. checking with seatools.

@saswat23 yeh tried from a different disk but that too failed, but now the system is running so i guess the problem is not with the os

@zangetsu no the RAMs are fine... was using them before i gave the hdd for RMA..

^^ Send that HDD again to RMA.
HDD making too much noise means mechanical error. Only solution is RMA.
