Default Cost of new motherboard?

I have a "MSI GT680R-008US Notebook Intel Core i7 2630QM(2.00GHz) 15.6" 8GB Memory 1TB HDD 7200rpm DVD Super Multi NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460M", and the power jack has stopped working. Doing a bit of research, I've read that you may be able to replace this for not that much (?), although it might come down to buying a new motherboard. My question is if I do need a new motherboard, how much would this cost and would it be worth it to replace in this laptop. I purchased the laptop in May for around $1400 (I live in Canada).

Replacing motherboard of any laptop when it is out of warranty is not worthy at all.

If the notebook was bought in May 2011 then definitely it is still covered by warranty, so can contact their Support center.

yep contact the support center, and yeah if any problems in port or anything which can only be rectified by changing the mobo then they would change the mobo.
