Hard disk prices are at a record high. Better to wait for some 3 months for the price to cool down..

The prices have already started to come down. Seagate 500GB is now 4200 down from 4700. Should be near normal in about 4 to 6 weeks.

even I'm waiting to get one 1TB HDD but due to high prices can't get it right now - even on the September the price was ~2.7k but now it's around ~5.6k - the price is more than two times compared to the previous price -

the funny thing is a 500GB HDD 3 years back was around ~3k but after 3 years due to flood in Thailand the price has increased and it's ~4.2k for internal HDDs
