Default 500gb seagate usb partition problem in windows xp sp3


500gb seagate usb partition problem in windows xp sp3


my first partition is 10000mb second one is 20000mb and third is remaining
1st partition is active partition
other is extended partition
my second partition convert in raw format and when i double click on it it asked for format.

what can i do for this usb ???????

use easeus partition manager to extend that second partition to occupy the raw space. Or better, you can boot from a LIVE gparted CD to accomplish your objective.

Are you creating the first partition as 10GB and the second one as 20GB.

I think this will work, connect your HDD, and go to disk managemnet
1. Create the first partition of your size as primary partition
2. Create a extended partition out of the remaining space
3. next create logical partition out of the extended partition
4. Format all the partition

my partition is created like primary and extended.
first is primary and second and third is as extended.
