Default Printer Damaged by me ..... need Help

My uncle bought a printer from US 2 months ago.
He bought a converter for it from here. {110V to 230V converter}

iT was working perfectly fine, but one day i mistakely plugged that wire direct into our socket.

& there was a spark after that the printer is not working.

When contacted Epson Customer Care, they told as it is bought from US we dont cover warranty here.
& when contacted service center they told that anything from circuit board to power unit could be faulty.
& if just the power supply is faulty then it could cost upto Rs. 1800 & if circuit board is also gone then price may increase

The Printer bought is : Epson WorkForce 520

The cost of the printer was around $100

So anyOne can pls. help what should i do ??
Does anyone have experienced this before ?
& where should i give this to repair ??

Search for a local shop where printers are repaired.

Hi Dharmil007,
There is no any other way, you have to change the power unit.
Very rarely, motherboard also may be damaged.
if board also damaged, the best way is try to exchange the printer instead of servicing.

In INDIA, "Epson Stylus Office TX510FN" may alternate for "Epson WorkForce 520" with around the same cost.

I think, all Epson Service centers will service your printer not even in warranty.
You may contact : 1800-425 0011 for Find the nearest service center.

& is it necessary that i have to do it through EPSON, can i do it through local engineers ??
& suppose if only power unit is damaged then u sure it can be repaired ??
