DvD Writer not working & suggest new dvd writer

i Have Sony dvd writer {SONY DVD RW AD-7260S 1.61).it is reading discs perfectly & writing CDs perfectly. But when it comes to write a DvD, it gives error.i M attaching a ScreenShot of the error, for ur reference.PlS. help me out guyzz what should i do ???

i'VE tried writing different files, but in vain.
i'VE tried using different discs but same error.
i'VE tried using different applications but same error.

This is the new dvd writer which i got replace from the dealer.Previous DVD writer also gave the same error, so i replaced it.
But still the same error.

i Dont know what the problem is, pls help me out guyzz

it can write CDs
but cannot write DvDs

& using Normal dvds
so far checked : Sony, MosearBaer, National

Purchase an ASUS DVD Writer, its the best.

Get an Asus 24x DVD writer @1050.

dvd writer @ 1000 K?!?! anyway, asus dvd writers are quite good, i'm using one myself.

I am using an ASUS lightscribe one from January 2007 . It has written near 1000 DVDs & read scrached discs , written about 500 CDs & still going . Only the tray system is malfunctioning now-a-days . But read -write performance is

if u have any warranty on uvr DVD drive then give to the service centre.
There is a problm in uvr dvd drive lens.

@dharmil007: its a new DVD Writer then replace it with the dealer.also do a write check on DVD-RW...

try updating the firmware, else get a LG drive. I have 2 drives working perfectly

Avoid LG drives.. Stick to Asus DVD writer @1.1K

^ sorry mate, i am still using LG drives for more then 4 years, and they still do their work properly
