Exclamation laptop display grey & black line

[ compaq presario cq60-209tu 16inch hd widescreeen display 1378x768]

my laptop display is showing grey & black lines as soon i switch it ON. even bios is not displayed but behind this everything is running okk as i am able to hear boot sound, login sound.
but display is not showing anything other than these "itchy" lines.
however i noticed that when i continuously press esc, tab, capslock, shift,a buttons or apply little pressure to corner (near keyboard) it becomes okk.
i thought this is due to loose screws or dust around ram. So i cleaned ram & placed in another slots and also tighten the screws .
after that this problem becam permanent.
i surrender it to HP service centre they replied in one sight -- "it is screen problem, need to be replaced with new one"
I asked how much it cost me -- they replied "Rs14000 with 3 months warrnty" after 7 days through email .
i maked some queries in local shops about display price. few shopkeepers told me it will cost me around Rs 7000 (chineese) however i dont believe it as screen problem as i was suffering it from 15 days at temporary intervals.

Do i really need a new display plz help?
added some problem shots .
