Default Advice on portable HDD

Hi,

will keep it brief. one of my colleagues needs a portable HDD of 1TB capacity. following are the parameters for purchase :

Capacity - 1TB

Brand preference - seagate>>WD>>hitachi>>toshiba>>IOmega>>transcend

Connectivity for USB 3.0 - not an utmost requirement; but better if present.

Form factor - portable, 2.5"

Budget - 3.5-3.8k, extendable to 4k

any suggestions guys ?! please assist

yup....i searched, but couldnt find one for less than 3.5k, which is what he would actually prefer. hence thought of creating one with upping the budget-value in hope of some kind soul helping me towards some worthwhile anyway....he is now settled for 500GB instead....so mods can close this thread. thanks a lot
