APC BACK UPS ES 650Va no beep

My UPS is giving perfect backup but there is no beep sound which is default during battery backup.(four beeps per interval) this i have come to notice 2 days ago.

what could be the problem?

the beep comes from the buzzer i.e a small speaker used also in the mb may be the buzzer has gone kaput

Actually there is some setting which has gone off. Read the manual, it tells how to enable it again.

in the Software i.e. Powerchute personal Edition there are 4 options under NOTIFICATION
1)enable Battery Backup alarms all time
2)Disable Battery backup alarms all time.
3)Disable battery backup alarms when PC is off or Hibernate
4) between ......Hrs to ......Hrs.
in my case somehow the second option was checked.
