Default Brand new 16 gb USB pen drive write protected


i recently bought a new sandisk edge 16 gb pendrive.the problem im facing is i cannot copy anything in to the flash drive,it gives an error saying "THE DISK IS WRITE PROTECTED"(cant format the drive too)
i googled this problem
tried the Enabling usb write in registry-didnt work
tried a diffrent pc-didnt work
tried diffrent os-didnt work.
tried sharing the pen drive-didnt work

itried running the secure app with in the flash drive but again get the same error.
any help would be great

HP has an assortment of tools including a flash drive formater somewhere on the net. Also there are utilities called UFix etc which might help. However Ive never seen one that couldn't be formatted . If its brand new just give it back to the dealer and tell him it doesn't work I guess. Would save you some time.

@sanoob.tv: if u got any utilities softwares of Sandisk then try that...
else rely on 3rd party formatting tools such as Partition Wizard or
Low level format tools...

but if tell the vendor about the problem then it might help....
after all u have got a warranty on the drive

"Flash drive write protection" error appears in Windows XP

else RMA the drive
