usb not working in windows7+ wifi not working in ubuntu10.10

i have got a strange problem in my notebook. i had my display unit changed yesterday from hp service centre and found out one out of my 3 usb ports is not working in windows7. device manager shows all the usb controllers and hubs working properly. after this i installed ubuntu 10.10 and the usb port started working fine in both the OS's. but now in ubuntu my wifi didnt work. it detects the connection but it does not connect even after providing the password. so i uninstalled ubuntu. now again in windows 7, the usb stopped working.
PLEASE HELP ME. I AM GOING MAD OVER IT....
System Configuration
HP G62-361TX Notebook PC; Intel Core i3 M370 @ 2.4GHz; 3 GB RAM; 320 GB HDD; ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5400 Series (1GB); Windows 7 Home Basic & Ubuntu 10.10.

Go back to HP service center & tell them to fix your device (laptop) properly.
