PC hangs while connecting to net

My PC sometimes get hanged when i connect to my broadband via dial up connection. Mouse pointer moves but PC does not respond. It doesn't respond even after an hour.

What could the problem be ?

Earlier when i posted the problem in digit forum, everyone suggested me to replace my PSU as i was using a 160W PSU. Now wat's the problem ?

What thermals you getting. CPU-Z.

Now run task manager to see whether any hidden program is running or not. In most of the cases one or more hidden program(s) run at background which kills hardware resources and thus hanging PC. Also its recommended to run a full scan for viruses.

Just get a good psu like FSP saga 400W@1.4K

@op update the lan drivers also what av r u using and also check if the firewall is on

How to check thermals in CPU-Z ?

My firewall is on.

No viruses found (Using KIS 2012 genuine)

Maybe a problem with KIS. Disable or uninstall it and see if the problem persists.

Try to add the dial-up software that you are using (if any) to connect to internet in the exception list of KIS. Just my 2 cents.
