Default RAM Problem!

Pals
I have C2D E7500
P5KPL-AM/PS 0502 bios
1GB x 4 DDR2 pc2-6400 ram
Windows XP 32bit

The problem is the system is showing 1.99 gb ram installed in windows properties while cpuz is showing 4 gb installed. I know XP should show around 3.2gb ram installed instead of 4, but 1.99 ?

Wits the problem?
Help needed

Thanx
Angel

Have you tried changing the RAM slots?

First of all 32 bit windows will show around 3Gb ram.Check this for further details
And for the 1.99Gb showing i think remaning ram allocated to onboard GFX.Not sure though.Check Bios for further info.

Ur MB has only 2 ram sloths how can u put 1GBX4 sticks in it
also ur MB supports 4GB max Ram i.e 2 x DIMM, 4 GB, DDR2 1066*/800/667 Non-ECC,Un-buffered Memory

So, i think 2GBX2 is supported a single 4GB is not try updating the bios & see
