Cool Computer Freezes Randomly

My Computer Configuration is
MoBo - MSI 7211
Intel Pentium D 2.8Ghz Processor
2 x 1GB RAM
250 GB Barracuda HDD
450W Powersupply
Windows XP SP2

Earlier I had Windows XP SP3 Installed and all was working fine except that the things were a bit laggy. So I though A full fledge reinstallation would do good to me. However After installation of Windows XP SP2 my system started to freeze very very frequently. Sometimes during boot, after 5 Minutes, 10 Minutes 30 Minutes there is no schedule no sequence, I even tried upgrading it to SP3 but its not working, I tried to repair my System with Windows XP CD but no remedie its still restarting.

However The safe mode is working fine, I tried everything is safemode and it works fine there no hangs no Freezing. I am actually posting this thread from same computer working in Safe Mode.

Plzz What should I do now. ????

It could be one of a number of things. Instead of trying to tackle all possibilities, let's concentrate on the RAM first. Remove your RAMs and put in only one stick, then boot your computer and see if it's stable now. When trying out RAMs, from practical experience, I find that removing them and inserting them again works better than simply pushing them hard when they are already seated in the slots.

You could also test them with memtest86.

Another thing you can do is to uninstall your drivers and see if your computer is now stable. If it is, reinstall the drivers and try it out again.

Re-install. Probably your drivers.

I tested my RAM's with Memtest no error found.

Then I removed One of the RAM, computer didn't start, Then I inserted another RAM computer worked fine but eventually hangs after a considerable long period of about 30minutes or so. Yes It does work longer then earlier. But still it freezes

I have now Wiped out my System Partition and Reinstalled the Windows XP. Will see if the problem persist. Though Without the driver the Computer is running well no lags, no Freezing problem.
I think the problem is because of Drivers.

Will keep posted.

It seems that Computer is not freezing very quickly (Yes its still freezing) But now It works for 1 or 2 Hours.
I have updated all my drivers from MSI website. What it can be?

The Freezing is not App specific. It hangs anytime, while working on Internet or working on MS word. Still can't get it. What hardware might be creating trouble.

Again the problem started I think the RAM slots are not working.
