Strange problem in PC

My uncle have 3-4 year old HCL pc. Now when i turn on the UPS and press power button, the system starts but monitor light will be orange. Then i keep pressing the power button till it get off. Now again i start the system starts. Now while working suddenly system restarts. This happens everytime. What may be the problem?

Try to use the system without a UPS. Also as the system is so old now, I am assuming that the UPS is as old as PC so dont stress it much. Just connect CPU to UPS so that during a powercut you can shut down the PC with the powerbutton. Atleast iw will prevent a corrupt Windows.

What is the UPS? Brand? Wattage?

UPS brand is supercomp, dont know wattage. I guess it's new. But there are many connections plugged into the UPS.

Try to use the PC without UPS.& observe the issue.
even if the problem of restart happens then PSU might be faulty.
