I think you miss typed.... it should read "in details"

happens, it happend with me in my school days, when I was reading the NEWS of the day in assembly, after reading the HEADLINES, I said Now News In BRIEF instead of DETAILS. My History teacher's eyebrows raised like he will kill me!!

So, please no offence to you bro. Just pointed out, be careful next time.

Pranav, you should remove an iPod like that. It might damage it.

Look at this- iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows

I really do not think Apple is to blame for this problem. You should go for RMA if the device is in warranty.

@ all: Please let us not turn this into an Apple bashing thread. Stay on topic please. Thanks.

Installing custom firmware on Apple devices is not a thing for those who are not experts. Please keep that in mind before suggesting.

Before even asking whether the device is in warranty how can one suggest firmware change?

well, you do have a point krow
but if each and every trick isnt working OP could give an open source firmware a try IF ONLY IT IS OUT OF WARRANTY

That mod is not for iPod Nano 3g. So you can't install it...
