Default 5.1 Speakers under 8K


Please suggest me a good 5.1 speaker system under 8K... I will be using it for watching movies..

Altec Lansing VS3251 approx 5.5K(not sure will be available now i purchased it in 2009)

Z506 is a decent model. also check Edifier DA5000 if you can up your budget to 10k and check F&D D6000 which should be inside your budget.

Just check Logitech but i also don't like logitech - Z506 because of few thing like.

The Volume control is on speaker and no remote (wire or wireless).

(as it is 5.1 speakers Must be arrange properly and at proper distance from listener , and thus front speaker must be somewhat away from user in front direction but as volume control is in front speaker you have to go near to speaker every time to control volume )

also bass control is at back of Woofer (are you Kidding me????S#$t will u go everytime to subwoffer to raise or decrese the bass????)

It is Not wall mountable, comes very imp thing when room is very small or very large .


but one good thing is the RMS and wattage of Speaker is Fine...

i will say u to check out for
