Real Temp wont work in AMD systems
Suggest OPEN HARDWARE MONITOR
Open Hardware Monitor - CPU Temperature, Fan Speed and Voltages in a Free Software Gadget

for troubleshooting the best utility i know is ThinkDigit Forum. 100% success always.

if someone wants to have a simple but detailed view of whats installed (or want to share here directly) nothing beats this: speccy

SIW shows much more information than Speccy. But that's the problem, there is too much info. So if you are looking for the basics, speccy is enough. For more detailed info SIW can be used. Keep in mind though that unlike Speccy, SIW doesn't update the result in real time, once it gathers info at startup, that remains unless you refresh.
Prio is also a good software if you are on Win XP
