Connecting Laptop to 5.1 Speaker, Soundcard Query

Hi...

I want to connect my laptop to my 5.1 speaker system. For that I have shortlisted creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Surround 5.1 as my external sound card. Is it good ? or should I go with anything else ?

Creative Sound systems are very reputed fantastic, I have heard the sound of 2.0 and felt it very good. As yours would be 5.1 its just more than enough from my point of view. If you can extend your budget more then only I would suggest you to check of JBL as a option.
