Default Problem with P8P67 pro mobo

I have bought my new rig on 29th.(From MD computers)
its i5 2500k along with Asus P8P67 pro mobo.
After all the parts were joined, it was found there is an error saying that "no hard disk found" though, the hard disk seems to be attached properly. As a result a bootable windows 7 dvd cannot start the formatting.

Is there some problem with the mobo?

I am suspecting the mobo because, when the machine was assembled, in the bios, the build date is shown to be 03/02/2011.
Please let me know what does the build date actually signify. The build date is definately 29.06.2011. Why is it showing 03/02/2011?

Secondly, if its the date of manufacture of the mobo, the mobo expected to have the cougar point chipset issue. Isnt it?

Please help...

I think your motherboard is not a B3 revised. There should be a B3 Revision label on the top right corner of the motherboard box. If not then send it back and get B3 revised one.

B3 revised is written on the box.

Moreover there was a "B3 revised" logo on the mobo where the graphics card was supposed to be placed.

@babatu

You should elaborate your problem properly.

Which HDD are you using?
How did you configure in Drive configuration like RAID or AHCI or IDE? By Default SB mobo comes with AHCI setting enabled.
DO you see your HDD make in BIOS? Did you attached HDD to Intel Controller or other Controller?

Here your problem is nothing related to Build date Issue? Did u tried with any other HDD? is it the same problem?

I don't think it yours Mobo Issue..

The HDD is seagate 1TB. I have no idea about that config. SO, it can be assumed to be the default one.

The boot options shows for DVD drive(prominently written)
and the other one hopefully HDD is written as (ST......)
Does that mean the HDD is properly detected?

I am yet to check it using any other hdd.

I suspected that if the build date is 2nd Feb, then there might be some prob with the chipset. resulting to the error.

you didn't probably understand what the members advised. Your mobo is perfectly fine...there's no cougar point chipset issue as it comes with B3 revision. Even if you suspect there's something wrong, then please contact your assembler. Your rig is not configured properly

I have the same mobo P8P67 and a seagate 7200.11 or 12?.
I get the same message on booting. Flashes for a brief time like a micro second but since I saw it so many times I now know it says the same
"No HDD detected or found" i think.

But my PC boots properly without any problems.

I have installed windows 7 too. The os is working fine at this moment.

But whenever I start the computer, the error massage of hard disk not found arises.
Its quite irritating.

Please help...
