Default laptop hard disk upgrade


I am having sony vaio FW45MJ laptop with 4GB DDR2 RAM/ATI mobility radion HD 4650 graphics/400GB HDD(single partition) with windows 7 home premium 64 bit. I am planning to upgrade the hard disk to 1TB with min. 2 partition. Is it possible with this laptop. If yes, then What is the procedure to do the same as i dont want reinstall the operating system nor want to loose existing data. And also i want to know from where i can buy 1TB laptop sata hard disk , as i am staying in mangalore, Karnataka ?

You have to throw away the previous HDD as I think most lappy's dont have space for 2 HDD's which means complete reinstall.

Back up all data,docs,phots,videos,etc

^^yes it s possible only to replace the HDD, not addin...
