Default How to connect a laptop with hdmi port to monitor with vga & dvi-d Port?


I am using dell xps laptop powered by intel i7 with nvidia Geforce 425M graphic card where the laptop has got only hdmi port. I purchased Viewsonic VX2268wm 3D ready monitor which has got both vga & dvi-d ports. (I Used Dvi to hdmi cable but display is not coming in monitor & monitor light turns blue but system shows display is connected).How to connect laptop to monitor....Please solve the problem... Thanks in advance

See if your graphics driver settings are properly configured for dual monitor output.

You may have to enable in the graphic cards console.
Its disabled as default.

There is a hot key on the keyboard, which has a DVI / VGA Connector symbol. Press that and the signal will start to the external device.
