Default Slot load VS age old Tray load

This is really amazing how most of the companies have shifted to Slot load rom drive. I recently purchased an Alienware laptop which had the same.

Problem was faced when i gifted my wife a mobile phone which comes with a mini cd for the software.

I am still unable to understand whether mini cds are obsolete or technology has taken a back step...

you can try running the mini cd with a donut adapter.

I'm not very sure whether they are available in shops in India. But ebay would never let you down. Plus its cheaper.
