Default Problem With HDD...Pls help


Okay guys i bought one 2 tb hdd one months ago everything seems fine but suddenly it started making weird noise...and the hdd disappeared from my explorer i shut downed the pc .....checked all connection and they were fine restarted...same problem it was getting detected for first few minutes than start making weird noise and got disappear
Hdd as such is fine with no data loss and when i ran chkdsk utility no problems
Now i have disconnected it and no problem i wanna know what might be the problem is it PSU ????? coz i wanna have all 3 drives
My specs
Core i7 920
INTEL DX58SO Mobo
1 TB + 2 TB + 2 TB (yellow one giving trouble)
8 GB DDR3 (4X2)
nVIDIa 9800GTX +
Moser baer DVD RW
500 Watt Tagan PSU

looks like a faulty hard drive. get it RMA'd. let them do the hard work & troubleshooting. but do check it in your friend's PC & also with a different cable before sending it. as it maybe just a small problem.

As u said u brought it just some months ago as per my opinion there is some manufacture defects i mean that its a damaged it makes a weird noise because of stepper motor rotor problem or header having a friction with hdd plate its a hardware problem chkdisk cannot solve it..............
