Audio not working for HP dv51235dx

Hey friends,
I have hp dv5 1235dx with windows vista.
One day suddenly there was a some unusual sound from the laptop and it suddenly got restarted.
after this restart , laptop sound is not working.
i tried reinstalling drivers,updating drivers , restroing the windows and tried other os as well. but the sound it still not working.

the strange this is touch panel sound button never turns to blue now.
but when i touch on it , it reflects the task bar volume to mute and unmute,
but the button never turns to blue.....and sound is not working at all.

Is this because of over heating?.
what is the solution to get sound back.
even the headphones are also not working.


Any help will be appreciated

Try using alternate media players like VLC, Media Player , classic , etc

As you already tried reinstalling driver but the problem wasnt solved.

I suggest to take it to the dealer.

i already tried using alternate media players but as i said there is no audio at all.
I also went to one computer hardware shop and they told me that they can open the laptop on a risk for such issue and may be this kind of issues are not reparable ,
They suggest me to use external sound card.

i think this audio problem in becoming common with HP.
Is there any chance of getting my internal audio back again.
Any Hardware expert having such issue can help me out.

please let me have some option for audio.

If its in warranty RMA else try to contact HP on the customer care & see what they suggests else get a usb sound card
