Unhappy Help: No display on Monitor after turning ON.

Hai i am new to this FORUM but am a reglr reader of DIGIT.

When i turn ON my pc, the whole thing in the cabinet starts working BUT there is NO DISPLAY on monitor.

I came 2 know that the solution was 2 turn pc off, discharge all capacitors and turn it back on.Sometimes it works sometimes not.

But the problem still persists

Is it due to BAD ram or a failing PSU???

Specs:
Core2Duo E4500 2.2ghz
2 GB ddr2 ram Kingston
Intel D945GCNL
Asus 5750 Formula 1 GB
FRONTECH 450W PSU

yes u r right its RAM...
If PSU is faulty then either the fans wont work or frequent restarts

I think this thread to be made sticky with the subject 'Display Problems' so rather than opening new thread I would like to carry on this thread. I am from Nasik and I am facing problem with my 'Compaq mv540'(2003) monitor, display is not responding at all. Only the light near on of switch remains red(which used to turn green when display is working). As it is out of warranty now, I can not get any help from authorized Compaq authority. I would like few suggestions from Think-Digit community. May I repair it ever?

Note :- No problem from CPU side as newly replaced ViewSonic working fine.
