Default Speed problem with IBM Thinkpad R51

Hello friends!

I have a IBM Thinkpad R51 which isnt giving me the kind of speed that it used to some time back. To check if there is any problem, I tried running CPUZ and was shocked to see that the processor is running at 598Mhz when it should be running at 1500Mhz.

Now, how can I make it run at the best possible speed that it can or atleast at what it is mend to...

Thank you.

Its normal in Laptops. When you will run CPU intensive problem the CPU will run at full speed.

It is run at lower speeds to save power and save battery life(even wehen it is plugged to power)

Dont worry.
