Exclamation no display on monitor

My pc suddenly started giving me problems.1st i was getting scrambled display when logging in after typing password. However i was able to log in safe mode.
SO i removed graphics card and cleaned it.But now i am not at all getting display at all.
I had old 7300gt lying so i tired that, but i still didnt got any display at all.

Butwhen i pluged monitor cable in to mother board vga slot,i started getting display.
Can any1 tell me whether the problem is with my graphics card or PCIe slot.

^^ take the card to any computer service center or friend who got PC. plug it & check. no display, throw away the card. get a new (better) one.
