Default System turns off all of a sudden

Hi
My problem is that the system turns off all of a sudden. When I press the On button it doesnot start. I have to turn off the UPS and turn it on again. Then if I press the on button it starts.
What could be the problem?

OS windows 7. Config: Intel Core 2 Quad 8400 @ 2.66 GHz./ 2 GB RAM./ Nvidia gforce 9400 / Power supply: Model XS-300FB/ UPS: APC 600VA

I have this prob since I bought the PC. As the problem occurred occasionally - once in a week or so i didn't care for it. Now also it occurs like that only. Previously I thought that it was due to power problem at our place.

Be sure to use a proper UPS and also dont directly shutdown your PC. Things like that damage PSU.
