For last few days I am noticing some lag in games like Fifa 10, NFS HP etc. But this issue was never existed before. So I was thinking it might be my Hard Disk which is done! Is there any way to check my HDD that it's running in max data rate or not?
Thanks in advance.
Mine is a Seagate 500GB @7200. http://www.seagate.com/ww/v/index.js...00f5ee0a0aRCRD
Download Seagate Seatools bootable version to check HDD for any bad sectors. It's a bootable CD image though version for windows is available I prefer the bootable seatools.
For checking your HDD for bad sectors and performance under windows use HDTune - it's the best app for checking and benching HDD
Okay so I spent more than 2 hours to check the HDD and here are the results,
HD Tune Pro, Benchmark, File Benchmark and Error Test.
and also did the Error Checking under Windows of C, D and E drives,
Here this the Full Scan by NIS,
I am done with Defrag too. But is the Benchmark result okay? and is there any other problem in the HDD?
Thanks in advance.
from the HDTune error scan pic I can see one bad block/sector in your HDD - scan and fix it using seatools bootable version and also make sure your HDD is using Ultra DMA 5/6 mode under device manager.
