Default UPS malfunctioning; what to do?

Hi,

I have an old Wipro UPS (purchased in the year 2003) which has started malfunctioning i.e. it only stays live for 2-3 seconds in case of power cut. It appears that its battery has given up, otherwise it has served me well for the last many years.

I need your advice whether to get its battery changed or go for a new UPS.

Regards,

check the price of the battery, if it's available. Else go with APC.

Thumbs up Re: UPS malfunctioning; what to do?

Thank you very much.

Got its battery replaced with a Relicell 12V 7AH (rating same as older one's) for Rs.650/-. UPS has been working well for me otherwise, so going for a new battery rather than a new UPS seemed better/economical option.

PS: Next month I'm planning to replace my Samsung SyncMarter 773s with Samsung EX1920X or BX2031N, so UPS will get some relief too
