no problem provided your mobo has 4 slots. but you can get g.skill, adata from here too. ask for a mushkin or patriot if you want from outside

Idealists suggest this, if someone is going to OC then it helps. RAM should be same density and speed to keep the channel architecture.

Yep, different RAM modules "can" cause trouble sometimes. Random BSODs etc.

u can use both brands as far as the frequency/clock timings of RAM modules r same.

He is getting both rated at 800Mhz speed. So there would not be lowest gets dominance.

Though if I am not incorrect the total population of the DIMMS would be:

DIMM 0: 2GB Kingston
DIMM 1: 2GB Kingston
DIMM 2: 2GB Nanya
DIMM 3: 4GB New Company

This way you will loose the dual channel architecture cause all DIMMs are not of equal density.

Equal density meaning that all should be 2GB or 2*2GB & 2*4GB???

@mailme.manju, yes. the ram sticks should be in even number & should be of equal capacity irrespective of clockspeed.

So i can have RAMs of this order without any problems right 2*2GB & 2*4GB? Provided 2*2GB as kingston & 2*4GB G-skill.... Is this ok?

He won't loose dual channel even if he don't has same density ram sticks .

Well, it depends on chipset.

OPs mobo has G43 chipset which supports Flex Memory Technology so he can use memory modules with different size/capacity and still remain in dual channel mode.

I guess one channel will not run in dual channel then.

Desktop Boards — Single, dual, triple and flex memory modes

^^ No both channel will run in Dual Channel Mode.

OPS mobo has 2 blue Ram slot ( Channel A ) and 2 Black Slot ( Channel B )

For for eg. If he populates Channel A ( two Blue slots ) with 2X Kingston 2GB modules he would get dual channel in Channel A

Now if OP populates Channel B ( two black slots ) with one Nanya 2GB module and another 4GB module he will still get dual channel mode in channel B but the mobo will use only 4 [ 2+ (4-2 ) ] GB ram as dual channel instead of consuming all 6 GB present in channel B.

Thanks for your suggestions... So shall i get a 4GB RAM ? Or sell off the nanya 2GB RAM and buy 2*2GB kingston as of the RAM i am currently using? Or stick with 6GB for a while...Purpose 100% for gaming...

I would suggest you sell off your nanya 2GB module and get 2*2GB ram modules - with that you would get 8GB mem - all running in dual channel - 8GB is more than enough for gaming.
