The problem is your aspect ratio. Try changing the aspect ration in your Camcoder.

What is the native resolution of the monitor? if you don't know then search on the internet using the model number
most probably you have set the wrong resolution. Try changing the resolution from display properties, settings tab in XP

Native resolution 1600x800 is not availbable in the settings of Win 7. Aspect ratio is already 16:9.

I don't think any monitor has a native resolution of 1600x800, it must be 1600x900.

Yes, indeed, it is 1600x900. Sorry, for the mistake.

If you can't change your resolution then try Uninstalling your video drivers and re-installing them...That might help...And what is the name and Model of your monitor ???

Resolution can be changed. But, the drop down list doesnot contain the resolution 1600x900. Model of LCD is Samsung Sync Master B2030.
