Default Can I fit a sound card?

Motherboard = MSI K8N Neo4.

This board has its own built in sound card that does not support my Mercury HT 4500U surround sound.

I have updated to Windows 7 from XP and this has made the situation worse than before.

In XP the speakers used to work to a fashion (but not correctly) but in Win 7 I can only get a couple of the speakers working.
I have tried all of the settings in the sound effects manager and the speakers only work in some of the sound effects.

Question :- Can I fit a seperate sound card to this motherboard that will support my sound system?

Thanks,
RoyC.

I think You better download a driver updater or driver doctor which will analyse your driver details and gives option to download from internet.

yes. it does. but there is no need to buy a soundcard for those speakers. The problem should be with settings and drivers.

remove the drivers, clear the settings and start from scratch.
