Default what is blu ray drive


guys i read about blu ray drive in many places.actually what is this blu ray drive?
Is it a new type of drive like cd and dvd drive?
Can't we play blu ray disc in normal dvd drive?

In Computer language a BluRay Drive is a secondary storage device
Its just as you say, its like CD and DVD. But its storage space is very very large (from 25GB to 128GB )...

Just as a CD player cant play a DVD, a DVD drive cant play a BluRay Disk. BlueRay Disk Players are there to serve that purpose...

Yes Bluray player can play DVDs.I think Bluray player can be had for 8-10k.
I don't think its worth it.Its better to get a PS3 instead of a Bluray player.

i read somewhere B-ray can't play DVD. at least the cheap 10k drives don't. maybe they can, i not sure.
