Monitor Resolution Keeps Changing

I have a LG 18.5 inch Flatron W1953TE monitor with a native display of 1360x768.

My problem is that the display resolution keeps changing to 1280x768(old monitor resolution) every time i restart. No matter how many times i update the drivers it keeps reverting to 1280x768.

I have to keep updating my drivers until it displays the correct resolution.

When it is in the correct native display and i check the monitor tab under device manager it shows Plug and Play monitor and another Plug and Play monitor.
When it is not correct display it shows under the monitor tab in device manager as default monitor and default monitor or default monitor and Plug and Play monitor.

My OS is XP service pack 3, no graphics card, CPU is Intel Pentium E5200. My previous monitor was HP L1710.

OK!!!!! I solved my problem. Here is how:-

I went to the Intel(motherboard) website and searched for my problem and found this

I installed it and presto it is fixed. It is displaying the correct resolution now, i restarted the PC and it did not change. Woohoo!!!!!!

So it was a motherboard driver issue.
