LG warranty/replacement query

Hi, i have a 19" LG TV monitor which i bought less than a year ago. It has backlight bleeding problem. I want to know whether it is covered under warranty and how long will it take for a replacement or fixing if possible. Also i moved to another state a month ago but managed to find an authorised LG service center.
My original retailer told of that i can either produce the bill for warranty or the monitor box cause it has some import code thingy.
