Will i able to upgrade my laptop ?

Hi I have CompaqC700 model. The problem is that it supports only 2GB RAM. I want to upgrade it. Say atleast to 4GB or 8GB. I do not want to buy a new laptop. Can upgrading the motherboard will fix the issue or i have to upgrade the processor also. Please give me the info how can i achieve atleast 4GB RAM for my laptop . Another thing which are the compatible motherboard for my laptop model.

Not possible. You can't upgrade mobo AFAIK
