Phenom II X6 1090T 3.2 GHz @ 13.8k
MSI 880GMA-E45 @ 5.8k
Kingston 2 X 2 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 @ 4.4k
Seagate 1 TB with 32 MB Cache @ 2.8k
PSU: Corsair VX550W @ 4.7k
Cabinet: Cooler Master Elite 342 @ 2.2k
BenQ 24" G2420 FULL HD LCD Monitor @ 11.3k
Altec Lansing VS-2521E @ 2.9k
Keyboard & Mouse @ 1k

Total 48.9k + Vat.

Now one thing, in a 24" full HD monitor (1920X1080P), hard core gaming is not possible if you don't have a high end card, at least GTX 460 1 GB or HD 5830/HD 5830. So better keep at least 13k for a good Graphics card.

Ya, Core i7 870 is a better performer than Phenom II 1090T in some applications. So if you want you can go with it. But with coming days, all the software are getting more and more multi-threaded and multi-core aware. So in near future the 6 cores of Phenom II X6 will be utilized fully and will yield some extra performance boost.
2ndly, Phenom II 1090T is a Black Edition processor, so have great overclocking potential. Using the stock cooler you can easily reach 3.6 GHz to 3.8 GHz. Then sometimes the performance is over all the Intel counterparts except the new Intel Core i7 980 6 Core processor.

problem is msi 880gma e45 doesnt support 125w processors such as 1090t and 1055t. only 95w 1055t supported..check msi website.

Nobody hates anything here. (apart from intel mobo, CM psu, trancend rams, miley cyrus, justin bieber etcetc)
.
And by 'wrk right', I think AMD works all right when used as it is supposed to.
.
.
Anyway here's your gaming rig.
Phenom II X4 955BE @ 8K
Gigabyte 880GA UD2H @ 4.5k
2 x 2 GB kingston HyperX 1333 MHz DDR3@ 5.5 k
WD 1GB Blue @ 3K
BenQ G2220 @ 7.5K
Corsair VX550 @ not sure.
NZXT M59 @ not sure, or
CM 690 II @ 5.5
3 x 120/140 mm local fans @ 1k
Logitech basick KB @ 0.3
Gaming mouse of your choice
Gaming headgear of your choice.
Gaming mousepad of your choice.
Above mentioned CPU cooler
Noctua NH D14 @ 4.5k or
Glacialtech Alaska @ 2.3k
.
TOTAL = 36 something + mouse + headgear = dunno what 40k??
.
It leaves you around with wooping 20k for your gpu. If you are really into hardcore gaming, then allow me to go ahead and sugget you MSI 5870HD at ~22.3k.
.
P955 will be an excillent choice as you will be overclockin.
Also, corsair 3 x 2 GB DDR3 memory can also be bought at around 7.5-8k.
.
P955+5870+22" display will max out even current games till some extent.
.

The 5870 should get cramped up in 690 quite easily.
