2 changes:

1. get the Athlon II X4 630. this should cost you close to 4.5k.
2. get the cabby but not the PSU. i heard SMC selling FSP nowadays. but if you get a bottom mounted PSU based cabby, skip FSP. get Corsair or some other brand PSU.

^^^ I think a local 500w psu can handle this rig.
Atleast til end of 2010.
Altho, saga wont go too costly.

@op- just asking. What gpu would you prefer. I mean
A- new 6 series gpu in budget?
B- old 5 series gpu with dropped price.
C- nvidia card with dropped price.

Just asking cuz i too am gonna buy a new gpu later this year.

I think the processor is a bit overpriced. is there any possibility of bargaining? Ram price is great. Get a good PSU if you know what kinda gfx card you'll add.

I'm getting the bundled PSU for the time being. I will buy the PSU with the gfx card. My choice of gfx card will depend upon the price and performance of all the cards in the market including ati 5 series, 6 series and nvidia 4 series

better don't waste money here & there. also are you sure the bundled PSU (which will most probably turn out to be CM Extreme 360W) won't go up before you get a new PSU + GFX card? also are you sure that even if it blows up, don't burn your rig? if yes, go ahead. if no, hold your breath & think once before getting one.

Sam Cm Extreme 360W will be enough for it. It is not going to blow up and OP specifically mentioned that he will go for a new PSU when Graphics card is added. So not a problem right now.
CM extreme series has a bad reputation but it is not that bad really. There are lots of people who are using these PSUs to run high-end crads (one happens to be my room-mate, using a 650W CM Extreme for his GTX 285 for 1.2 Years)

yeah, I'd say if you are sure to get a single card config, get Corsair VX 450, it will handle most single card configs till the card price of 12-13k
and AMD 6 series cards are expected to be very energy efficient, so you can't go wrong with VX450

yes the Extreme Power are not bad but if he goes for a new PSU & graphics card later why change PSU again & again. this doesn't makes much sense. but if the PSU do goes up, it may bring trouble for Cybertonic.

So should i got for VX 450 or 550? The PSU should be able to handle a gtx 460 1GB in case I got for it. Using extreme power supply calculator i put capacitor aging at 30% and slightly increased a few things in case i upgrade. The result i got was 560W recommended and 510W minimum and the VX450 can deliver slightly more than the recommended wattage so should i go for VX 450?

VX450W will be a good bet. get the next higher unit "if" you planning to OC. else stick to VX450W.
