Default Which is best option IDE HDD

I have intel MB DH55TC,with all sata connections.I have old Seagate 80GB PATA.Which is the best option to connect. IDE to USB,IDE to SATA adaptor, and PCI to IDE.This MB has different type of pci slot(single cut).

I bought IDE TO sata adaptor but not worked after every permutation combination, returned to seller,Bought IDE to USB,again HDD not able to be detected. Now seller starts saying your HD is corrupt.I changed my old running P4 to i3.HD is perfectly alright.detected in IDE MB bios.I returned that thing also.
I have 4 NTFS paritions on this HD.How much time it takes to detect via usb.

Now I am afraid of not able to use this disk.

Now last thing PCI to IDE ramaining. If I buy this can this slow my system.Does any one using this................

get yourself a HDD casing & use it that way. HDD casing for IDE is a bit rare (as IDE is not available nowadays) & will cost around 300 bucks.

those small card will never work, I have tried many a times those adapters are junk, best is you buy a casing.

pci card will not slot your system, it is just the read/write IO will be slow for that HDD

HDD casing which connect through usb,as I said I tried this also at seller's shop.Xp is not detecting my HDD.he is also puzzled ,AAj tak to aisa nahi hua. What is wrong with my HDD.It is perfectly alright. Is it possible that his casing is defective one.He tried 2 cases to check before inserting HDD.one of them got burnt immediately after power on.

One which is ok, after inserting HDD green light is not coming.

I think his casing is defective. He is selling these stuff at 500 Rs.Is there any brand available for casing??

Anyway thanks for helping me.
