Motherboard for Intel Core 2 Duo - Urgent !!

Hi guys is there any motherboard available in india

which supports Mobile processors (Intel Core 2 Duo).

I have a core 2 duo based lappy with failed gpu , since i bought a

new lappy i am thinking of converting old lappy to a desktop .



Alternatively Is there any shop in nehru place where failed GPU and motherboard can be baked ?

Any other suggestions for old laptop (company repair is 15k so thats out of question)

i think normal motherboards LGA775 support mobile processor. cause many enthusiast use mobile processor & Overclock it to a very high level. though i not sure. i just read/heard about the above.

I doubt it will fit into a standard workstation LGA775.

A standard LGA 775 has this package: (Socket 775)
775-land Flip-Chip Land Grid Array (FC-LGA8)
1.48" x 1.48" (3.75 cm x 3.75 cm)

Your CPU has this package: (Socket P)
478-pin micro-FCPGA
1.38" x 1.38" (3.5 cm x 3.5 cm)

The pin count is different.
