Default Inherently Defective Laptops

I wanted to know if there is any law regarding replacement of inherently defective laptops .

Many of you might be aware of Nvidia GPU failure issue which is inherently defective .

I have read on internet about policies in UK and US for replacement of inherently defective product .

Any hope for HP/ Dell Victims other than costly repair which itself does not guarantee smooth operation .
