Default Wifi blues!!

hey guys, I really need some help on my Belkin wifi setup. I have set up the router as instructed but it does not let me access the router page. The wireless is working well, but I cant connect to the internet, given I have a static ip and unless i am allowed access to the router config I cant change the settings.

Anyone have any idea what to do? Or should i just plonk this one to my cousin and get a new one? Which is the best router in the market anyway?

And to add to the blues, my local tata guy has setup my connection weirdly, using a bridged network, to convert my static ip into a public domain ip and then transmit data through it. And the belkin doesnt have anything that remotely resembles that setup..

HAAALPPP!!!

I have the exact same settings as you have described. But the router page doesnt open when i type the given ip. I have tried resetting everything but to no avail. Any workarounds?

Ok.. So I am assuming, your setup is like this:

phone line -> ISP modem -> belkin router -> PC

Is that correct?

If it is correct, I need to know the IPs of both your ISP modem and your wifi router.
