Default system showing less memory!

Hi all,
I bought an Intel based assembled system recently, now I have some problems!

Hardwares used:-

MoBo- Intel DG41WV
Processor- Intel E7500 C2D 2.93 GHz
GPU- Biostar 9400 GT 1GB
RAM- Zion 2GB 1333 MHz X 2
OS- Win XP Professional (32bit)

My problems are:-

  • BIOS showing 4 GB of RAM but System properties showing 2.99 GB of RAM.
  • Whenever I start a game, it does not start, but in task manager it shows ‘Running’.
  • I have a RIM MG 880 USB modem. There is no certified driver for Win-XP Intel!!! It is crashing all the time. It first stops responding, then crashes. I have to restart and reconnect the modem again and again!

I am loosing my mental stability and I need help immediately!

Thanks in advance

Hirak

are u loosing ur mental stability?? then first check ur RAM, HDD and drivers. llollzzz.. just joking.
as u r using 32-bit os, it will never show 4 GB RAM. Use 64-bit os instead. as of games try reinstalling ur graphics card drivers. cant say anything abt modem. try searching for drivers on internet.
