want advice on rig around 20k

Hi,friends my name is kamal . Its my first thread . I just want you guys to help me to buy a pc for 20k. Its my first pc.Want to get it with AMD processor.So please give your valueable time to query.

1. What is the purpose of the computer? A:can go for any processor, Games,internet,movies,music
2. What is your MAX budget? A: Around 20 k. I did like if I would get something good at a lesser budget. 3. Planning to overclock? A: No 4. Which OS are you planning to use? A: Windows 7 64 bit / windows xp 64bit
5. How much hard drive space is needed? A: 500 GB HDD
6. What resolution will the screen run at & whats the size of the screen you want? A:whichever possible want to purchase 19" lcd
8. When are you planning to buy the system? A: Within a week maybe or maybe I' ll give it some more time
9. Are you one of the types looking out for "future proof" configurations? A: Yes
10. Are there going to be any components that you don't want to include in this new rig? If yes, do mention. A:yes,ups already have interverter at home.
11. Mention any other points if deemed necessary A: I would like a onboard gpu near about 512MB Memory.
12.From where you are going to buy . A:Ludhiana,punjab
13.Any other query ? A: want to get creative speakers.What i can survive without speakers if die die situation in budget.

Not sure about monitor
An inverter is not a UPS, if there is fluctuation or power cut inverter takes too much time to switch on as compared to UPS. Therefore, your PC will first lose its power and then get power from the inverter whereas a UPS will not allows your PC to lose its power

good try jas but 20k & gaming. seriously. not possible.

1. a VIP 400W PSU cost ~1.5k.
2. 16" too much small.
3. better settle for some cheap speakers.

yes i know but i meant 15" too small for any gaming. in 20k, if one want gaming, he/she must have monitor already. else it'll have bad affect on pc specs immediately.

if i just leave speakers then can i go for dell 19" lcd and also please only 20k . My parents will not allow a single penny more than this but i can upgrade it later in 1 month or 2 months

1024 resolution low-medium settings
and
800 resolution medium-high settings

GOW3 ---> PS3.
IGI --> max out. highest resolution & settings. will get 100+ FPS.
Assassins Creed 2 ---> full resolution, lowest details or vice versa.
mafia 2 ---> as not yet released. can't say.

Check jaskanwar bros configuration there is a mistake in sum total it is 21.7k not 20.7k so please solve it pull it to 20k

Pull it near to 20k otherwise jaskanwar bros configuration is good . I will go with it.Is that mobo he suggested is also compatible with athlon x2 series if not please suggest a biostar mobo.

By the way, for monitor go for AOC 19" monitor, available at 5.4k in Kolkata. They are some great VFM monitors available. I have two of them, one 19" and one 16"
Guys spending 4k for an X3 is seriously not a good choice. Ask the OP to increase his budget to few hundred bucks to get a Athlon II X4 630 at 4.6k.

My suggestion will be

Athlon II X3 425 2.7GHz @ 3.5k
2 GB Kingston DDR3 @ 2.6k
500 GB HDD @ 1.9k
AOC 19" monitor 5.5k
Biostar TA785G3 HD @ 4.3k
LG H55N DVD @ 1k
Logitech Keyboard & Mouse @ 0.7k
Local cabinet @ 0.7k
Any good Local 500W/600W SMPS (FOxin) @ 0.6k

Guys, these local psu will be able to run upto 9600 GT or HD 4650. I tested the Foxin 500W with HD 5650 and 9500 GT.


Total is around 20.8k. Now the Street price of CPU and processor are little less. So best of luck to get everything within your budget.

By the way, this is not at all my suggestion at all. The credit goes to Jaskanwar Singh. I just modified some components.

I came up with this price list:

When you are spending 4.2k, just spend a few hundreds buck more to get a Athlon II X4 630. It is currently having street price 4.6k to 4.9k. Try to get this one.
The gaming performance increase will be marginal (or not at all ) but performance increase in multi-Threaded application will be great and it is a better future-proof solution.

ok i will try to get that. Also one more thing . I am going to buy these things after 1.5 months. So is there will be any price decrease in rate list.

Today i am surfing internet to find a good lcd and i find that there are near about two choices . first is Dell st2010 and second is samsung 2033 sw so please tell me which one to get . Personally i liked that dell one its having hdmi port and also if i connect hdmi port of motherboard to monitor's hdmi port then will all things in high defination.
