help me for logitech z 550 and dell ST2410

hey guys

plz help me on these two problems

i am having intel original G 33 motherboard and mercury cabinet and i am not be able to plug in my headphone in the front port of my cabinet and it has two 3.5 in put and out put jack and two USB port in the front side...usb ports are working but sound port are not so keeping this point in mind i bought Dell st2410 as it has audio port in the monitor it self and it comes with the standard VGA cable despite of having hdmi port in it...now when i plugged my headphone in the monitor it say no input device is found.....if any one can help me how to use dell monitor ports to listen audio then plz tell me stepwise

2. if any body is using logitech z 550 then can he be able to tell me that does it comes with headphone jack for private listening with it or not? i wana buy it

(i need sound port because my family members are very much addicted to silence so they will kill me if i play violent games/songs(bassy) so sometime i wish i could have front sound port so that i can use it when my family is around and just remove it to activate speaker(which will be connected to the rear port)

To solve my sound port problem i bought 2410 but its sound port too isn't functioning...plz help me to sort it out

Yep, the Logitech Sound Control dock comes with both mic and headphone jacks.

thanks for your reply but can you tell me how come you know it...are you using z550 or from some where else?

the front port connector may not be connected to the mobo or might be defective!
to make the Dell audio port work you'll have to connect the monitor through HDMI cable. which GPU you have?

i dont have any gpu....have only intel's onboard gpu which is on G 33 mobo

can you tell me the price of hdmi cable which can connect my monitor with cpu??

then you won't get sound even with a HDMI cable! intel DVI out doesn't support audio through the DVI out! though your video quality might improve with a HDMI cable!

HDMI cable will cost around Rs.200 around!
