I would vote for lite-on DVD-drives... ultra reliable and give highest burn speeds

Re: Which DVD drive to buy?
Guyz sorry for the interruption, but really i do have a sony DVD RW(which is connected through A IDE to sata adapter),and its speed is really terrible.
So i need to get one which is more reliable in terms of reading DVD's.

These adapters are useless...the speed problem is due to that only...get SAMSUNG or ASUS...do not get into this debate better go to the nearby shop and buy one for you...

Make sure all the connections are proper...A new hardware such a this should not fail on its maiden trial. It is properly tested before sending in the market. Why do not you get help from someone more experienced in hardware?
If all else fails, take the cabinet to the store from where you have made the purchase...it will work out...
